Varshphal: the year ahead, dated
An annual reading is the one astrology product where length is justified — twelve months is a lot of ground to cover.
What a varshphal includes
- The solar return chart and what it emphasises this year.
- Any dasha or antardasha change during the year, with its date.
- The two or three transits that will shape the year.
- Month-by-month notes, kept short.
When to order it
In the two weeks before your birthday, so the reading lands at the start of the year it describes. If you order later, it is still useful but you have already spent part of the year.
How it differs from a daily reading
Daily readings are about tone and small decisions. A varshphal is about structure: which months carry the weight, and which are for preparation.
Questions people ask
Is it the same as a birthday horoscope?
No. A newspaper birthday horoscope is a sun-sign paragraph. A varshphal is calculated from the solar return and your running dasha.
How long is it?
Seven to ten pages, because it covers a full year. The summary page at the front is the part most people reread.
